Does ANYONE think things through anymore? This is an AWFUL idea. I rely on the three-light traffic signal to see when to go and when to stop because I am COLOR BLIND. I can’t tell the difference between Green and Red, which is the most common iteration of colorblindness in the United States. This is even worse than those awful horizontal lights... it’s a real rush when you pull up to an intersection and aren’t sure if it’s green or red, but the roads are dangerous enough - we don’t need hundreds of thousands of drivers nationwide having to rely on a passenger to tell them if they should stop or go.

This is an incredibly bad design. No civilised country in the world will ever use a traffic light with a colour changing light. And rightly so. You need three lights for safety. Some 10% of the population is colour blind, which is exactly the reason why there are three lights, always in the same order.
If ”killing people” isn’t a Dark Side, then I don’t know what is.
